Father's, rain, and the potty

Happy Father's Day to all the dad's in our family especially to Carli and Troy's dads. Tyler, we hope you've enjoyed your first father's day ;-). Today was an exciting day for Troy as he got to stay home with a coughing Jordan for Father's day. It was nice to be home with the boys and be reminded of the reasons that I am a father. We hope that all the dad's in the family got to enjoy the day and likewise be reminded of the joys that come from fatherhood. As for other things today is the half way mark for Troy's internship.

Things continue to go well, though having to deal with the setback's of projects at work can be bothersome, and somewhat boring as there isn't always a lot to do as an intern to fill the time with meaningful work. It continues to be a great learning experience though. These past few weeks have also been filled with lots of rain. Normally Wendover gets about a quarter of an inch for the month, and currently we have recieved about 6 times that much...which still really isn't that much. Virtually every day though has had some amount of precipitation, making for some nice cool weather. It appears that will end soon though and the hot desert summer will soon be upon us.

These past few weeks have also been one of training on the potty for Jordan. Carli purchased a small potty as Jordan refused to sit on the real potty with his special seat. He actually has done fairly well as long as we have him running in the buff around the house. We've tested him with some dinosaur and Thomas undies and he is making progess though still having accidents in them occasionaly. We are happy to not have to change as many diapers, but aren't excited about the frequent trips to the potty that we'll soon be making while out and about.

Thanks to all the family for participating, I think this blog idea is working out well and we enjoy reading about everyone's activities. We love everyone and hope to see you soon!

  1. We are in the same boat with Ami and potty training. We have taken two road trips and have to stop when otherwise we wouldn't have. Good luck.
